What Is the Grand Masked Ball?

Held each summer inside the Palace of Versailles following Les Grandes Eaux Nocturnes (the Night Fountains Show), the Grand Masked Ball transforms the palace into an immersive celebration inspired by the court of Louis XIV.

Guests arrive in magnificent period-inspired costumes and masks before spending the night dancing beneath crystal chandeliers, wandering palace salons, enjoying live performances, and watching the sun rise over the gardens.

It’s part costume ball, part theatrical performance, part EDM dance party and part once-in-a-lifetime travel experience.

There truly is nothing else quite like it.

What Most People Don’t Realize

Once I started planning, I discovered that attending the ball involves much more than purchasing a ticket.
